When you boil down The Go Game to its essence you will find that it is equal parts adventure, irreverence, excitement, creativity and, of course, fun. We frequently produce events for no other reason than to play The Go Game – our internal office games are the things of legends. We also enjoy producing events for parties, charities and the contests open to all called Community Games.
Without fail, these events provide the most outrageous, wacky and sometimes shocking missions, photos and videos. Whether it be for a hen party in Las Vegas or a fun 30th birthday party in Amsterdam, The Go Game is an experience that won’t soon be forgotten.
The open Community Games are typically themed – there once was an intense battle between astronauts and lumberjacks – and often serve as the test laboratories for the latest and greatest Go Game ideas. We produce community games annually in cities all across the globe. Peruse the calendar below to find out if we’re coming soon to your neck of the woods!
Community Games
Our Community Games are the heart and soul of The Go Game. They are open-enrollment affairs that are riotously fun and as the name suggests -- build and reinforce communities of fun and innovation and good old fashioned competitive gameplay. Oftentimes, we test out new technology and/or new mission types during Community Games, so when you play one, you're getting the fun hot off the presses. We started our Community Games in San Francisco in 2002, and have since hosted them everywhere from Los Angeles to London.
You can sign up as either a team or an individual below. If you're flying solo you can either start a team or join an existing one, provided it's not full.
After playing a Community Game, you'll see why we were voted 'Best Way to Rediscover your City.' It's an outrageous afternoon of fun, smarts and adventure that will stay with you for a long time. If you're totally addicted to playing the game (not uncommon), you can play again and again in subsequent Community Games and your score keeps getting higher. We dole out prizes for the top scoring teams of the year (but most everyone plays for pure bragging rights).
Come and sign up! Get away from that @#$@#$ computer monitor for Pete's sake, it's Saturday we're talking about here!
150 person Duck Duck Goose at the Park
Flash Mobs
Remember Flash Mobs? Groups of people 'randomly' showing up and creating silly spectacles of themselves for the amusement of all involved? We at The Go Game were the ones that (anonymously) created the first 4 mobs in San Francisco (along with our co-conspirator Jane McGonigal). We twirled at intersections, played duck duck goose and napped in hotel lobbies. Even The San Francisco Chronicle loved it. Good times all around! The Flash Mobs are an example of the connectivity and community we try to encourage in ourselves and those around us everyday. If you've not seen www.improveverywhere.com you should check them out -- they have taken it to new levels of amazingness.
Party like a superhero!
Parties
The Go Game can turn any event into a truly special one. We have transformed many a party into unforgettable hootenannies. Have a 40th birthday that need to the best ever? A stag party to plan? A reunion to organise? An orientation? No ideas? We'll work with you to customise all game content to give you the party of a lifetime.
