After watching thousands of teams create brilliant short videos in The Go Game, we realised that players are a lot more creative than they think. Built upon years of experience with the Classic Go Game, we've come up with an absolute blockbuster of a team-building activity. You and your co-workers will be transformed into a powerhouse movie production unit with cinematographers, directors, actors, costume and sound designers, all collaborating to create short films that will blow your mind.
During the course of play, teams are given a movie genre (think 'Coming of Age,' 'Horror,' 'Mockumentary,' 'Romance,' etc.) and scripted prompts that keep the story going at a perfect pace. The magic comes when teams fill in the blanks of the storyline, and the results are nothing short of genius -- believe us. Each group is issued an easy-to-use 'Flip' movie camera, a mobile phone that gives the narrative prompts, costumes, props and an iPod already loaded with the appropriate musical soundtrack. After a short tutorial on the gear, teams will spend roughly 2 hours filming, or as we like to put it: getting in touch with their inner Danny Boyle, Daniel Craig, or Kate Winslet.
The game ends in your very own Academy Awards ceremony, hosted at an ending venue of your choice by one of our professional Emcees. During the ceremony, we screen the movies, inundate you with movie humour, eat, drink and vote for 'Best Director,' 'Best Actor' and 'Best Picture' and a host of other awards that recognize the many talents among your group.
With The Movie Game we've struck the perfect balance between an open-ended creative exercise and an executable script. If you think your department might not be creative enough for this activity, we might suggest that you are dead wrong.
Even the biggest movie buff in your office hasn't seen a romance movie quite like ours - where your CEO slow dances to Celine Dion or an action packed short film with car chases, shootouts, and insane villains - where you do your own stunts! Or how about a coming-of-age movie based on your boss's high school years? Scripts can also be customised to focus on your company's challenges or successes, maybe featuring an account you're trying to win, or a new product you're trying to push.
We supply all the A/V gear. You supply the up-and-coming talent.
